Zhangjiagang Third Sewage Treatment Plant Expansion and Upgrading Project

Zhangjiagang Third Sewage Treatment Plant is located in the northern part of the urban area. The first phase of the project has a treatment capacity of 20000 m3/d and adopts the process of "coarse grid → fine grid → cyclone sedimentation tank → anaerobic tank → DE type oxidation ditch → secondary sedimentation tank → sand filter tank".

According to the three-year action plan for high-quality urban and rural domestic sewage treatment in Suzhou, the second phase expansion project of the Third Sewage Treatment Plant was launched in 2019, with an additional sewage treatment capacity of 20000 tons. The MNR-S biochemical treatment process was used to deeply improve the sewage, and the effluent quality was better than the Suzhou special discharge limit. Zhangjiagang No.3 WWTP will feed water in January 2021. During its operation, it has the advantages of low energy consumption, less sludge production, small land occupation, and no need for external carbon sources. The effluent quality meets the requirements of DB 32/1072-2018 Discharge Limits of Main Water Pollutants for Urban Sewage Treatment Plants and Key Industrial Industries in the Taihu Lake Lake Region and the special discharge limits of Suzhou City.

Low energy consumption - electricity consumption: 0.5 yuan/ton of water

Mud production - approximately 2.02 tons per 10000 tons of water (70% moisture content)

Small footprint -60% of the original Phase I process

No external carbon source required - carbon source dosage is 0

Good effluent quality - Suzhou Special Emission Limits Emission Limits
